Hint: Use a paper towel to sponge up and absorb any moisture on the chicken before you begin cooking.
Remember: Cooking chicken fast at high temperatures is the secret to caramelization and juicy chicken.
Cooking Chicken in the Oven
(You can use chicken breasts, thighs, drumsticks or even a whole chicken for this recipe)
- Take the moist or dry chicken and liberally cover in salt-and-pepper (you can also add your own seasoning such as rosemary, garlic, and onion powder to this mixture).
- Once the chicken is covered in your dry rub, let sit for 5 minutes while you preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Place the chicken evenly on a sheet pan and put the chicken in the oven once optimal temperature has been reached.
- After cooking for 15 minutes, take chicken out and cover with your favourite ZEG Sauces. Put chicken back into oven to finish cooking.
- Once chicken is cooked (internal temperature of 165°F), cover chicken with aluminum foil and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Take aluminum foil off of chicken and cover with more ZEG Sauce. Enjoy and wonder how you ever managed cooking and eating chicken without ZEG Sauce!
