Hints: Try something unique, these grilling vegetables taste great: fava beans, edamame, beets, artichokes, parsnips, okra, cabbage, and kale. And for the meat, basting with butter seals in the meats juices and adds extra flavor.

Remember: You can use any type of mixed meats with ZEG Sauces, it tastes great with chicken, turkey, steak, veal, pork and lamb.

Cooking Meats and Vegetables on the Grill

  1. Take a large bowl, fill it with your favourite meat(s) cut into 2” x 2” cubes.
  2. Pour some vegetable oil onto the meat(s) and mix together coating all of the meat lightly with vegetable oil. Sprinkle salt and pepper liberally and mix onto meat(s). Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  3. Take vegetables (use grilling favourites such as tomatoes, squash, eggplant, peppers, onions, carrots, sweet potatoes or the suggestions above) and brush them with a light coating of olive oil.
  4. Take vegetables and place them evenly on a pan sheet (save this pan sheet you will use it to put your vegetables on later).
  5. As the meat will take longer than the vegetables to cook, set your grill at 350°F and slowly grill your meat until the appropriate internal temperature is reached (chicken and turkey = 165°F), (pork = 160°F), (steak = medium-rare – 135° / medium – 140° / medium-well – 145°), (veal and lamb = 145°F). Regularly baste the meat with butter.
  6. Once the meat is cooked, place onto pan sheet and cover with aluminum foil to rest for 5 minutes.
  7. While meat is resting, place vegetables directly onto grill. Grill the vegetables (uncovered over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are crisp-tender). Remember that cabbage, lettuce, kale will only need to be grilled for 30 seconds on each side or until heated through so save them till the end.
  8. Depending on your preference, you can combine the meats with the vegetables into a family-style platter or keep them separate creating vegetarian and meat lover dish. Either way, be sure to drizzle your favorite ZEG Sauces liberally on both the vegetable and the meats before serving.
