Hint: Use metal skewers. They are reusable and help transfer heat so that the interior of your foods cooks faster. Bamboo skewers can burn, break, or splinter.
Remember: Don’t over pack your skewers. If you crowd everything together, you’ll expose less to the flames, and it will take longer to cook. Keep things loose, with a little space in between each piece.
Cooking
- In a large bowl, place the cubes chicken and cover in your favourite ZEG Sauce. Toss to coat in the marinade.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours before cooking.
- Preheat grill to medium high heat (375 to 450°F).
- Thread the chicken and vegetables onto metal skewers (if using wood skewers soak them for 30 minutes beforehand).
- Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until chicken is cooked through.
- Add another layer of ZEG Sauce if desired, sprinkle with parsley and serve hot for a flavour forward kebab people will be talking about! Enjoy!
