The Sandwich. The Sammich. The Sangwich.

How ever you like to pronounce it, the sandwich is probably one of the greatest and simplest inventions we should’ve came up with earlier in our culinary cave days.

Take any three items, stack them on top of each other, and you technically have a sandwich! Voilà!

Well not quite, there is the issue of stacking three things (or more) that work together in flavour harmony.

There is also the issue of portability in order to feasibly transport and eat the sandwich.

The sandwich is named after John Montagu (1718-92), the 4th Earl of Sandwich, who started a craze for eating beef between two slices of toast. It really did take humankind until the 18th century to figure out the greatness of the sandwich.

And to top it off, we didn’t figure out the bacon sandwich until it was referenced by George Orwell in 1931.

Although the bacon sandwich has not been around a long time in the history, it is one of those sandwiches that you can have as a snack, for lunch, or for dinner (mostly depending on how much bacon you put in sandwich).

Now it’s time to put together your sandwich but instead of bacon you’re going to use thinly sliced pork loin with your favourite ZEG Sauce.

FreshCo has a sale on Pork Loin for $1.88/lb.

Which is a fantastic sale!

We also have a fantastic recipe (substitute bacon with pork loin) to go with the sale: Bacon Sandwich with ZEG sauce.

Enjoy and don’t forget to send us pictures and texts letting us know how much you love ZEG Sauces and what foods you put them on!
