It may sound corny (sorry) but does your head hurt thinking about who has the best corn on the cob prices?
The corn season is upon us through obvious signs in local flyers and advertisements.
There are so many sales going on, it becomes mind-boggling trying to figure out who actually has the best corn prices!
After looking at corn on the cob sales for the better part of the day, I realized I was getting a headache.
So, I am boldly going to announce that I’ve created a new word for the English dictionary:
CornAche: (Noun, 1. Pain in the head due to thinking about corn prices. 2. A vexatious or baffling situation or problem caused by corn).
Now that I’ve expanded the English language and done all of the hard work of researching corn on the cob prices, it’s time to pick up a dozen or more of these great tasting vegetables. Here are some of the local sales:
Lococo’s – $4.00/13 pack (0.13/cob)
Fortinos – $0.19/cob
Sobeys – $0.44/cob
And of course, you’ll want to try something new once you have had your fill of the traditional corn on the cob with butter, salt and pepper.
Try putting your favourite ZEG Sauces on the corn as a glaze before you barbecue or after you boil the corn on the cob.
We call it: ZEG’s Glazed Corn on the Cob!
Once you’ve glazed your corn, feel free to put on some butter or your favourite spices for a sensationally flavoured corn on the cob with no CornAches!
Enjoy!
