Hint: For even more flavour, add a cup of homemade chicken stock or vegetable broth to the soup.

Remember: If you want to use something other than ground beef, try using a fatty marbled batch of stewing meat, it will be more tender. Dice any larger chunks bite size as needed.

Cooking

  1. Pour 1 can of crushed tomatoes in large pot.
  2. Add mixed vegetables (do not drain); 1/2 head of shredded cabbage, and 1 cup of your favourite ZEG Sauces.
  3. In separate pan, brown 1 lb of ground beef and 1 chopped onion.
  4. Once cooked, pour ground beef and onion mixture (undrained) into vegetable soup pot.
  5. Bring to boil for 2-3 minutes. Turn heat down to medium and cover with lid. Simmer for 1 hour.
  6. Serve hot and you won’t believe how much flavour this soup has with ZEG Sauces! Enjoy!
