Hint: Turkey pairs well with a lot of sweet and savory flavors such as brown sugar, maple, chives, thyme, rosemary, parsley, sage, basil, paprika, pepper, garlic, onion, lemon, and oregano.
Remember: Roast the turkey at a temperature ranging from 325°F to 350°F. Higher temperatures may cause the meat to dry out but this is preferable to temperatures that are too low which may not allow the interior of the turkey to cook to a safe temperature.
Cooking
- Take your favorite ZEG Sauces and rub all over the turkey. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of rosemary over turkey. Refrigerate uncovered overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Let the turkey stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before placing in the oven.
- Place the turkey into a roasting pan and surround the turkey with onions, garlic and 3 cups of water.
- Cover turkey with aluminum foil and roast according to turkey weight (13 minutes per pound for an unstuffed turkey).
- Remove foil and increase heat to 400°F. Brush turkey with your favorite ZEG Sauces as a glaze. Rotate pan and continue to roast turkey, brushing with glaze 2 to 3 more times, until thermometer registers 165°F.
- Let the turkey rest for 15 minutes before carving. Add sauce bowls for dipping the craved turkey for a sensational amount of sweet and savoury flavour! Enjoy!
